Marie Sjöberg was born in France, Paris in 1982. She is a blend of cultures, having a Spanish mother and a Swedish father. In 1991, she moved to Sweden to finish her studies. October 2001 she decides to move to Italy, Rome. She starts studying photography at the European Institute for Visual Arts and Design (IED). September 2005 after receiving the diploma, she moves for a short period to New York City. She quickly began to work as an assistant photographer and also developed some personal research.

Her vision explores the world, photographing with a special attention environment, culture, nature, and people. In 2008, her works take part in the Photo Festival in Rome, with a special project named “Dal non luogo al luogo” (“From the non-place to the place”), where she finally shows to the public a personal research on space and its ever changing perception in the interaction with man.
Marie Sjöberg since 2006 developed a passion and is now shooting artists from the Italian and international music scene.
She is now based in Italy, Rome, working as a freelance.
